On "apolonien," recorded during the same studio sessions as their preceding album "sheets of fibrous material" (Ma Records), rant has decided to follow a strictly minimalist approach both sonically and structurally. For over a year Merle Bennett and Torsten Papenheim have crafted, rehearsed, performed, and recorded the two pieces for their new album:
saumselig for percussion and guitar and seligsaum for paper and cardboard objects.
Two organically evolved compositions that take their time and give each individual idea ample space for development. Forms of abstract beauty that resonate in the present.
